Racing
Entering a
cyclocross race well prepared and with efficient running, dismounting
and remounting skills are the keys to successful competition in this
demanding sport.
Like all Wenzel
Coaching programs, cyclocross racing programs can be divided into
three levels.
Individual
Semi-Custom
Custom
Consultation by the hour is also available
You can choose to make cyclocross your only main season, your peak
season of a fall and spring/summer season, or just a part of your fall
and winter training. All cyclocross racing programs set out day by day
what to do to reach your potential and suggest minimum and maximum
ride times in order for you to make the most of your training time.
All cross programs combine cyclocross and road training, including
endurance rides, interval training, racing as training and specific
skill training, including climbing, descending, dismounts, run-ups,
remounts, sprinting, spinning and big gear training in addition to
other exercises. Your coach will help you plan your season, work with
you on the strengths and areas needing improvements and help you
analyze your racing. See the cyclocross-specific program descriptions

Individual
Cyclocross racing Program:
For:
All levels of ‘cross racers
Program focus overview:
developing, maintaining and improving fitness and skills for cyclocross racing
Includes:
Personal coach, daily direction and exercise descriptions, updated
monthly.
Features:
Minimum and maximum ride time suggestions to fit the program to your
time available. Also, off-season
cross training, weight training and varied exercises.
Consultation:
60 minutes with your personal coach is included each month.

Semi-Custom
level Cyclocross Racing Program:
For:
All levels of ‘cross racers who want a near Custom program but who
don’t want to pay a Custom price
Program focus
overview:
developing, maintaining, improving and peaking fitness and skills for cyclocross racing
Includes:
Personal coach, daily direction and individual exercise descriptions,
scheduled around your personal and racing schedule, updated
monthly.
Features:
Minimum and maximum ride time suggestions to fit the program to your
time available. Also, off-season
cross training, weight training and varied exercises.
Consultation:
90 minutes with your personal coach is included each month.

Custom Cyclocross racing
Program:
For:
All levels of ‘cross racers who desire an even higher level of detail
and customization, or for those who have a combination focus or
unpredictable personal or work schedule.
Program focus
overview:
developing, maintaining, improving and peaking fitness and skills for cyclocross racing.
Includes:
Personal coach, daily direction and individual exercise descriptions,
scheduled around your personal and racing schedule to the hour if
necessary, updated as needed.
Features:
Ride times and individually created exercises formed to your time
available and focus points. Also, off-season
cross training, weight training and varied exercises.
Consultation:
3 hours with your personal coach is included each month,
including scheduled or coach initiated communication.

Peak Cyclocross Racing
Program:
For:
Any rider wanting a higher degree of customization and detail in the
month or months leading up to an important event. (An automatic part
of a regular Full Custom program)
Program focus
overview:
Honing fitness and skills for peak events in cyclocross racing
Includes:
Personal coach, daily direction and individual exercise descriptions,
scheduled around your personal and racing schedule to the hour if
necessary, updated as needed.
Features:
Same features as Full Custom program
Consultation:
3 hours with your personal coach is included each month,
including scheduled or coach initiated communication.

One-on-One Consultation:
Coaching direction by the hour for those whose needs may not fit into
one of our other offerings, or for those who simply need some
direction and advice without a written program.
Consultation programs can include coaching consultation and
direction, program writing, season planning or any other coaching need
provided on a per hour basis. Clients are billed for the initial hour
in advance and then pay monthly for minutes used beyond the original
hour. A credit card must be left on file or the client must send a
check for several hours in advance in order to retain a consultation
relationship. The one-on-one consulting price is also the cost of
consulting for phone consulting beyond minutes included in any of our
other program offerings.
