What could inspire Lee
Shuemake, a Doctor of Chiropractic of 10 years, to become a full-time
coach? A love of coaching, teaching and bike racing.
Lee coaches out of Sonora,
California where he lives with his wife and 5 year-old daughter. As
someone who has trained for challenging goals himself, he understands
what it takes to make improvements to riding performance while
training around demanding work and family schedules.
Lee’s thorough knowledge of
the body’s structure as well as his experience as a cyclist allow him
to approach each client’s goals with the same planning as would go
into his chiropractic clients’ plan of care. Lee enjoys working with
athletes of all abilities in road and criterium racing as well as
mountain bike and cyclocross, specializing in the tactics of the game
of racing.
Lee is familiar with the
Northern California racing scene and courses, having done races such
as the Sea Otter Classic, Copperopolis, Madera Stage Race, and Cat’s
Hill, among others. He has also completed endurance events such as the
Death Ride and the Solvang Double Century.
Coming from a lifetime of
competitive sports including basketball, college tennis and soccer,
Lee brings a significant amount of competitive experience to coaching.
He also finds time to race and train consistently in order to reach
his personal goals. Lee is available for one-on-one skill sessions,
training rides, and bike fits in addition to monthly training
programs.
