Nutritionist Raynelle Shelley is available to analyze your current diet and help you develop proper dietary intakes based on your racing and training level. Raynelle has a bachelor's degree in Training and Development and is currently completing her master's degree in Exercise Sports Nutrition with coursework completed to become a registered dietitian. She also stays current on the latest research regarding nutrition for the athlete by attending Sports Nutrition Conferences regularly and is a member of the American Dietetic Association, SCAN (Sports, Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutritionists), and the Ultra Marathon Cycling Association

Raynelle's philosophy regarding the importance of proper fueling is straightforward: successful racing or other physical performance is like a three-legged stool that includes physical training, mental focus, and appropriate nutrition. All three legs must be present and strong for an athlete to achieve his or her best. Nutrition is often an over-looked component, yet is critical to helping the body make anatomical adaptations to training.

In addition to competing in ultra-distance races, Raynelle has created nutritional programs for cycling and volleyball teams as well as individual athletes. She has participated as a researcher in weight-loss studies and has written articles pertaining to nutrition for athletes in The Racing Post and the Texas Woman's University Newsletter.
