Coach Elaine Bothe demonstrates skills at the Lumberyard Bike Park

“Thank you so much for taking the effort to work with all of us. You were so wonderful! The skills were fantastic and excellent building blocks. You might be one of THE most patient persons I have ever met 🙂 I really appreciated that you broke everything down into simple achievable steps, and even though you are a bad-ass rider, never made us feel that we were less-than for being scared or newbies to the sport. Very encouraging. Cheers!” —Leah

“Elaine has a natural teaching ability that makes learning a positive experience. She will break things down into steps rather than try to explain everything at once and overwhelm me. … Elaine is also one of those people who makes you feel comfortable asking any kind of question no matter how simple the answer may seem to someone with more experience. ” ~Trish

“What a super fun time at the Lumberyard last night. I can’t wait to learn even more and have that smile on my face again all night. You are definitely one of my heroes….thank you..hugs…” S.H.

Helmets and flat pedals are required. Gloves, knee pads and elbow pads recommended. We will inspect your bike, we reserve the right to disallow it and suggest a rental (included).

T-shirts and jeans with some stretch to them or trail shorts work well for indoor riding. Sturdy shoes are also recommended, as running shoes may be too soft.
